Sun Sept 7 (Day 2)

Lincoln, Illinois to Rolla, Missouri

Today we go over the old brick road, see turkey tracks in the road, cross the Chain of Rocks Bridge, go to Ted Drews for ice cream and just see a lot of beautiful country.  Pictures will be posted.

The weather was really great all day, thank you Lord.  Now here is some of the fun we had.

Before the Blessing of the bikes everyone was hurrying around to get their bikes loaded, to greet other riders and eat a little breakfast.

Having the Blessing of the bikes is always a special time.

The Old Brick Road south of Springfield.  It is about 1.5 miles of bricks still controlled by the state of Illinois.

This is the Turkey Tracks in Old Route 66.

Original Route 66

Henry's Rabbit Ranch is always a treat and Rich Henry made a very nice donation, thank Rich.

From The Rabbit Ranch we made our way to the Chain of Rocks Bridge which is always a thrill.

From the Chain of Rocks Bridge we made our way through St. Louis to Ted Drew's Frozen Custard.  Everyone was very happy for this break.  From Tec Drew's it is just another 100 miles to our motel.

Our official staff photographer's enjoying a little Ted Drew.

The worlds largest Rocking Chair.

50 Miles from the Motel in Rolla, Missouri we had a comfort stop which was really needed.  Now it is on to the motel.
