Day #10 Kingman, AZ

Day #10 we head for Barstow, CA.  Today is packed full of memories, everything from donkey's in the street to the Blue Rocks and the Mojave Desert.  There will be a full description of today activities.

Day 10 is aways special for many different reasons.  Jim Hinkley (Route 66 Historian) come out and talked with us and Blessed our bikes, thank you Jim.  We get to ride mountain roads that are narrow and no guard rails, we spend time in Oatman (it is like stoping back in time about 100 years), feed the donkeys and "watch them do what they do".  Then we get to enter California and ride the desert, this year the desert was cool compared to other years, it was 95 when we placed our rocks and spelled out "Ride for the Relay 2012", we did see 101 at Amboy.  We wrapped the evening up with everyone joining together for dinner, meeting Miss Route 66 Embassador and listening to me starting to wrap up the ride.  Enjoy the pictures, I hope you have enjoyed the Ride as much as we have.
