2011 Ride Dedication

 
We lost a dear friend, John Matthews (All the Way Gang 2007).  John fought a long and hard battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome.

 In September, 2007 he told me that the doctors only gave him 6 months to live but he rode Old Route 66 all the way.

 In February 2008 he came to Illinois to attend our Ride for the Relay Banquet.

 In September 2008 he came to Barstow and rode with us to the Santa Monica Pier.

 In February 2009 he came to Illinois to attend our Ride for the Relay Banquet.

 In September 2009 he came to the Santa Monica Pier to have lunch and to say hello to all of us.

 In September 2010 John came to Colton, CA and rode his new motorcycle to the Pier. 

 John was much more than part of the All the Way Gang, he was family.
 We will all miss you John.
