I am posting really early so check back often.
The Ride for the Relay starts offically on September 5, 2015. I will try and post pictures and comments each day while on our trip. This way any interested friends or family can keep up with us while we travel. Even if you are watching different people post things on FaceBook or other message centers, the pictures posted here will be different.
Also as you watch us progress along our way, go to the Guest Book and leave comments. The Riders always like to know you are keeping up with them.

Day before the Ride (September 4, 2015) we gather at the Doubletree Hotel and Convention Center in Downers Grove, Illinois.
4:00 pm Riders meeting.
Front desk will give you the location, I would like everyone to attend.

Afton Station, Afton, Oklahoma (http://postcardsfromtheroad.net/afton.shtml) is a regular stop to say hello to Laurel Kane and to see the great cars & meet Ron Jones the Tattoo Man and his 1956 Custom Chevrolet.
Lunch provided at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa for those that want to go.
Day 5 - (Depart 7am) Sept 9, 2015 Okla City to Amarillo, Texas---------------------282 miles
Oklahoma City Bombing Memorial side trip, you should go if you have never been there.
Elk City, Oklahoma for lunch and Route 66 Museum.
Dinner at "Big Texan Steak House" Limo's provided for transportation, leave the bike on night.
Day 6 - (Depart 8am) Sept 10, 2015 Amarillo to Santa Rosa, NM-------------------176 miles
Cadillac Ranch is our first stop, bring your spray can of Safety Green Paint to paint a Cadillac.
Adrian, TX is the half way point on Rt 66, enjoy the Ugly Crust Pie
Russell's Truck and Travel Center, on 66 just 3 miles from the Texas border
There will be a fun stop in Tucumcari, NM. Blue Sallow Motel is our gathering place.
Day 7 - (Depart 7am) Sept 11, 2015 Santa Rosa to Acoma, NM---------------------176 miles
Today we respect those that lost their lives on 9-11 & our military. Show your respect in you way. Most of us wear shirts that honor in some way.
Santa Fe, NM festival in downtown Santa Fe, Jerry Thelander schedules all the parking.
