Day 1, Chicago to Lincoln, Illinois------------------------------------------171 miles
What a day that the Lord has made. Beautiful weather, beautiful and a beautiful Route 66. Other than World Piece, what could we ask for. Today was a bit of a test with one bike having a battery problem that was taken care right away. The purple side car (you will see pictures later) had to go to the Honda shop but all is well and we everyone almost arrived at the motel at the same time.
In Lincoln, Illinois the Mayor and City Manage came out to welcome us and that was very special. The Hampton Inn went over board again this year to make us welcome with a GREAT GREAT Bar-B-Q. Check out the picture's and remember they never come out in the order they were taken but enjoy any way.
