Day 12, Colton, California to Santa Monica Pier, California -------------------------------------70 miles
Today was a day of emotions, realizing our accomplishments. We did the Mother Road, we raised over $19,000, went through 8 states, went over roads that mules would have had trouble with, endured over 100 degree weather nearly everyday, painted a Cadillac, laid our memorial stones out in the desert at 108 degrees, a few bike problems, went through road blocks, enjoyed several free meals, had Lemo service one night to dinner, seen a hot air balloon nearly crash, got to meet Bobby Unser, crossed the Chain of Rocks Bridge, seen the Grand Canyon and the Meteor Creator, stood on the corner in Winslow, AZ, and created a life time of memories and made friends for ever.
