2013 Day 4
Day 4, Joplin, Missouri to Edmond, Oklahoma--------------------------------------235 miles
Today when we got to Galena, Kansas the local Law Enforcement actually come out and blocked main street so that we could freely walk around in the middle of the street if we wanted to without the fear of getting hit by a car. That was cool.
Leaving Galena we went to Afton, OK and visited with Laurel at Afton Station and as usual she made a nice donation and everyone enjoyed going through the car museum.
At this point we broke up into two groups. I took one group and we went to the Cancer Treatment Centers of America where we had a very warm greeting, then into the Board of Directors where we had a meal fit for a King that likes BBQ, it was great. Following the Lunch, we had the grand tour of the complete facility.
We left there and made our way back to Route 66 and continued on with the sites until arriving in Edmond, OK just in time for 6:30 evening meeting. Now set back and enjoy the pictures.
