Tue Sept 16 (Day 11)

Barstow, California to San Bernardino, California

We started our day at the Mother Road Museum and Gift Ship in Barstow.

Some serious signing of the guest book buy Mrs Scooter.

Pam love shopping.  Can you tell?

Bob is taking it all in too.

Butch is being very serious.

Mary is just being Mary, maybe she is giving Norm the look.  Jim Nichols is enjoying watching.

I am buying it okay???

If my wife is in the middle of this I know it is going to cost money.  I got a $50 shirt out of the deal.

I am just wondering what these guys are up to.

No it isn't a Beauty Contest, it is just a couple of our wonderful riders looking pretty (thanks Norma and Deb)

You have heard the old saying "a pair to draw to", well here is a pair you should throw in, they are having way to much fun.  Is that possible on this trip?

Melinda just enjoying it all.
One of them is a dummy, you make the call.  Two of the are really sweet people.

I have never seen Ron so serious,

You are not in Canada anymore.

Jim and Bobby looking over an old motorcycle and remembering the day.

Speaking of Canada, you guys are looking good.

Jerry looks great in blue, I don't think brown is your color.

Jim taking a short nap.

Terry our ticket man look'n good, where is Norma?

Harold you look surprised.

Page think about it.

I think Sue is happy and why shouldn't she be, look who she is married to.

After we left Barstow, CA on our way to the Bottle Tree Farm.  We were waiting for heavy equipment to clear sand off the road from the heavy rains.

We go to the Bottle Farm Ranch.

Elmer (owner of the Bottle Farm Ranch) was in the process of putting up a new tree.  Page Parrish III and Bill Dirksmeyer and several others joined in and helped.

It is easy planting a Tree made of steel or iron.

But they got it up and  Scooter had given me bottles to present to Elmer.  He was wishing they were full.

After Elmer excepted the bottles, he had a gift for us, yes that is a bag full of money.  Elmer has been a great supporter to us for years.  If you ever get in the Barstow or Victorville area you have to go see Elmer.

Now enjoy the tour.

You have never seen anything like it.

My Staff photographer (Judy Joyce and Butch Royce) give Elmer a little love.

Everyone just relaxing.

Elmer and his gun.

My wife Sue and I telling Elmer goodbye.

Below is the kitchen sink in Elmer's house.  It is a sink he found in the desert and the base is gurney out of an old hospital.

After a nice lunch at the Summit Inn in Victorville we went to the largest motorcycle shop I know of called Chappell in San Bernardino, CA.

Even I bought new Rain Gear.

Some of the Rider were like kids in a candy store.
